Educational Resources

Here are some training and educational resources for District personnel.  The general public may find some of these resources of benefit as well, though some links may require log-in credentials to access which are only available to Fire District fire/medical.

NWCG Online Training

Medical

OTEP training for medical personnel can be had at Stevens County Sheriff Ambulance the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month at 1830 hours.  You do not need to call ahead for reservations.  Take advantage of this to keep up your certification if you miss a month of the medical training the district provides.

EMS Connect provides continuing training online for EMT/EMR personnel. You can find them at http://www.emsconnect.org/  Be sure to print out or at least save your certificates when you complete a course. This service is free for Department First Responders. Make an account and the district contact will set you up, currently Thomas Lonely Wolf.

Accident/Injury form

This is the form you need to fill out and submit if a District Personnel member has an accident or injury on the job for the District.

This needs filled out and sent in on very incident including Minor to major injuries.  The more forms sent in the better.  This will cover District Personnel up to 6 months to a year if an injuries turns into something more serious down the road.

Safety will also contact you to follow up.  All accidents/injuries MUST be reported to the Safety Officer.
